The Masakowski Family Band stands at the heart of New Orleans modern jazz, carrying forward a rich tradition of musical innovation across generations. Guitarist, composer, and Astral Project founding member Steve Masakowski has been a central figure in New Orleans jazz since the early 1980s, with recordings on Blue Note Records and performances alongside artists including Ellis Marsalis, Allen Toussaint, Bobby McFerrin, Nicholas Payton, and Dianne Reeves. He is joined by his children, vocalist Sasha Masakowski and bassist Martin Masakowski, acclaimed artists in their own right.
