With a career spanning 16 years and almost 20 albums, Charlie Hunter consistently ups his game as an innovative writer and bandleader. He has worked with the likes of Norah Jones, John Mayer, D’Angelo, and countless others. He is widely considered the authority on the seven and eight-string guitar and continues to stun audiences with his ability to simultaneously bust out tasty bass parts, melodic leads, and swinging rhythms. Charlie’s trio includes the stunning vocalist Lucy Woodward and percussionist Keita Ogawa who together deliver an exhilarating blast of blues, soul, and funk.

The HIP SPANIC ALLSTARS were born out of the San Francisco music scene, a hotbed for many creative styles. The city’s Latino flavored Mission District provided the musical backdrop for this collaboration involving longtime friends and residents of the Mission. They all drew from their shared experiences to create an amazing blend of Latin, Jazz, Funk and World Music - mixing it all together into a melodic and rhythmic gumbo.

Pianist Peter Martin and guitarist Romero Lubambo merge two different yet soulful flavors of music. The guitarist, originally hailing from Rio de Janeiro, and the St. Louis native pianist, time soaking in the culture in New Orleans, have been long performing together, learning each other’s styles. Rapid fire finger picks pluck seamlessly up and down the neck of the guitar accompanied by the powerful sounds from the piano as the two artists feed off each other’s creative energy. Their synchronicity and vitality are powered by the improvisational solos and virtuosity. Both men are technically accomplished, having played with the likes of Dianne Reeves, Michael Brecker, Yo-Yo Ma, Kathleen Battle, Diana Krall, Herbie Mann, Wynton Marsalis, Gal Costa, and Kurt Elling.
