Jardine’s
Kansas City , Missouri
Show starts at 10:30 pm.

Mark Southerland is an adventurous creator, musician, and composer. His music comes from
the tradition of A Love Supreme and Bitches Brew gone Sun Ra: electric, eclectic, and concentric .
Jeff Davis, whose compositions have recently been performed by The People’s Liberation Big
Band of Greater Kansas City , is working with Black House Improvisors’ Collective on their
current residency, and is also known as an adventurous creator of strange and beautiful
compositions, has developed Sir Threadius Mongus as a vehicle—a.k.a. Annie’s Mingus
Continental —for Annie Ellicott’s seemingly limitless talents. The music has been described as
“pure genius” and “epic.”
